Chinese business

As I told you in the previous post, my engineering/sales/customer service/scientist position took me abroad another time... And another time to China!

This time started the best way it could. let me tell you the story before the pictures. So, I was flying with Korean Air from Los Angeles to Seoul (secretly meaning, flying with the brand new A380). Already pumped about it, I was supposed to board around the last passengers. They fill up the rear of the plane, then middle and the front or zone 3 the last, while rich business men board to the top floor ...
After 20 minutes of patience, I finally get to the gate, ready to jump in. I give my ticket to the flight attendent. He grabs it and slide it in front of the bar code reader. Then instead of a nice sound and green light, I get a "buuuuuuuurrrhhhhmp" and red light. "Sir, could you step aside and wait for me, I'll be right back". I was freaking out. "What again? I'm not gonna be able to fly because I'm French and they don't have the good cheese and wine combination to serve me?"
The guy comes back, holding in his hand the small part of a boarding pass: "Sir, you have been upgraded to the business class. Please take the stairs. Someone will guide you to your seat"
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Following the instructions, I turned right and climbed the stairs to seat in business... Bref! j'ai été upgradé en business pour aller en Chine!

There is too much I would like to say about this trip... To sum it up: I flew in the business class of a brand new A380. Fixed systems and meet new customers. Visited Beijing and Shanghai. Saw different temples and universities. Received a prize rewarding a paper I published at the conference I went to. The conference was taking place in a 5-star hotel. I ate a lot of good food and tried everything I could try. Drunk some super strong Chinese white wine. Took maybe 50 different taxis in 10 days...

Anyway, here are some pictures.
