Same hour one day of October and the day after...
So we are in Los Angeles... when the whole East coast is now cleaning up after Superstorm Sandy, we still enjoy most of the time a good 75°F (ou un bon 24°C comme vous voulez) and we are also expecting 90°F for Monday (early November).
So the average Angeleno will usually complain about the cold. I mean when it goes down below 68°F or 20°C, because it becomes too cold to wear shorts. But on the other side the average Angeleno will also complain about the heat end of November...
- "Where the f##k is fall?! I bought a cool jacket I cannot wear, it so f##kin' hot man!"
- Well sir, you should be glad, November sucks anywhere else in the world. I usually hate November, which hasn't been true since I moved here! Enjoy man!
Anyway, these pictures have been taken from my rooftop. View of East LA from Downtown early in the morning. We are changing time tonight so I won't get to see the same sunrise in the morning for a little while... But what I like about changing time here is the difference it make in people's life. If the weather doesn't ever change during the year, or slightly, it is a good way to mark the beginning of winter. Days get shorter and shorter. It's dark at 5pm, people starts dressing up Christmas decoration or at least preparing for Thanksgiving. Even if, during the day, it stays pretty warm, you appreciate relatively long colder nights. Christmas is on its way, it's exciting!
